3M PPS Standard Lids and Liners Kit contains 50 disposable lids, 50 disposable liners and 20 sealing plugs for use with the original PPS spray gun system, an all-in-one solution for measuring, mixing, filtering and spraying paint materials. Unlike conventional aluminum or other metal paint cup systems, with PPS you don’t have to mix paint in extra cups and filter it into a paint reservoir, so you waste less paint. Simply place a liner in the reusable paint cup, mix the paint, snap on the lid, attach the locking collar and you’re ready to spray. With a fresh lid and liner for each mix, there’s less risk of outside contamination. You can also increase productivity in prep and cleanup time by as much as 50% and use up to 70% less cleaning solvent over conventional paint cup systems. Each lid strains paint material with a built-in 125-micron filter, commonly used for waterborne paint materials. Specially designed PPS stainless steel metal adapters let you use the PPS system with virtually any spray gun.
Disposable Lids and Liners
3M PPS Standard Kit includes 50 standard size lids with micron filters, 50 liners and 20 sealing plugs for use with the 3M Paint Preparation System (PPS). Kits come with a choice of either 125 micron filters or 200 micron filters. The 125 micron filters are recommended for waterborne paint or primer applications. The 200 micron filters are recommended for traditional solvent-based paint or primer applications.

Advantages of the 3M PPS System
Unlike conventional paint cup systems, 3M PPS eliminates the need for mixing paint in additional paint mix cups and then transferring the paint through a separate filter into a paint reservoir. This is an important advantage because waste occurs every time that a user transfers paint through mixing cups and filters. With PPS, you place the disposable liner within the re-usable PPS Cup. Then simply mix the paint in the PPS disposable liner, snap the disposable lid (with the pre-welded filter) in place and attach the locking collar to complete the PPS System. After spraying, the painter can use a sealing plug to seal and protect paint materials or simply discard disposable lid and liner, leaving only the adapter and spray gun to clean. Discard the disposable lid and liner in the appropriate approved waste containers specified by the paint manufacturer (or local government requirements). Use a small amount of solvent for cleaning the spray gun and the PPS adapter.
